# Pyramid puzzle

During this week Class 2 have joined forces with year 5’s to create their very own pyramid which will be used to enhance the outside area, it will be available for all to use during play times.

# Mighty Maths

Class 2 have been using their Maths skills to investigate ‘consecutive’ numbers. After first creating number sentences with these numbers we asked the question ‘what similarities and differences are there between the results’. We also extended our learning by asking ‘What would happen if …’ Including fractions, three consecutive numbers. In order to assist our investigation our starter was to look at number lines which included  negatives.

# Stage 4

Stage 4 Mathematicians have been developing their understanding of fractions by pictorially representing fractions and decimals as well as extending to include percentages.

# Hathersage update!

Pupils have arrived safely at Hathersage and are busy unpacking and making their beds! Next stop, orienteering!

Class Two were thrilled to have Neve with us today, she got stuck in straight away with our Magical Maths and has already made lots of friends!

# Reflecting on Burps, Bottoms and Bile.

From Class 2’s video reviews, I would say the topic Burps, Bottms and Bile has been a huge success!

I am very proud of the work we have produced this term.

# Magic Mathematics

Class 2 had such a treat this morning! Mrs Grierson created a magical hour of Maths where Class 2 wowed us with their team work and reasoning skills.

Which was your favourite activity and why?

# Class 2’s wonderful teacher.

This morning class 2 have been lucky enough to be taught by Mr Page. He have done some guiding reading and their teacher has been listening to them read. He has been the best person to plan his day at teaching. By Mr Procter Green and Miss Prentice.

# Mighty Mathematicians

Stage 4 mathematicians have been using their calculation skills to ‘use a 24hour timetable to find out times of a journey around the U.K.’ This problem solving activity allowed them to organise a 12 hour journey for Paddington. After working collaboratively in groups of three they presented their work to the rest of class 2.

# Motivated Mathematician!

Toby has blown me away with his dividing today!
